Reading Mastery PDF. Reading Mastery
is one of the best programs around. When used in schools serving
advantaged kids, parents think it's a "gifted" program. When used
with disadvantaged kid, teachers and parents think they are wtinessing a miracle--sort of. [Actually, they are witnessing the effects of good design and sprightly teaching.]
Naturally, Reading Mastery is anathema to the whole language and
"teachers-should-make-their-own-curricula" morons who waste precious
oxygen in ed schools, district offices, and state departments of public
instruction. Why? Because it works--and,
therefore, they have nothing to add, no more goofy "innovations" to
yack up, no workshops that anyone will ask them to do, and--in the
end--no job. Also, using Reading Mastery well requires a
brain--which therefore (and sadly) excludes most eduhacks. This
file shows you many details of Reading Mastery--from curriculum stands
down to the wording of tasks within lessons. HAVE FUN!
